Solar Atlanta

Municipal Project (On-going)

In October of 2017, the City awarded a contract to Cherry Street Energy for the installation of solar panels on City-owned properties, making it the largest municipal program in Georgia. The facilities included in the program have been selected after extensive vetting for solar potential, financial feasibility, and structural integrity. These installations are made possible through a Solar Energy Procurement Agreement (SEPA) which allows the City of Atlanta to access solar power at no up-front costs.
